FAQ
What types of gases is the QA65 Quantometer suitable for?
The QA65 is designed for natural gas, town gas, propane, butane, and other non-corrosive, filtered gases. The label explicitly states it is NOT for oxygen, acetylene, or other aggressive or toxic gases.
Does this meter require an external power source to operate?
No, the integrated mechanical counter operates entirely without an external power supply. Optional low-frequency (LF) or high-frequency (HF) pulsers for remote reading, if fitted, would require connection to a compatible data logger or system.
What are the installation requirements regarding straight pipe runs?
For optimal accuracy, Elster recommends a straight, unobstructed pipe run of at least 3 times the nominal diameter (3xDN) upstream and 2 times the nominal diameter (2xDN) downstream of the meter.
